Homemade Beef Burger

Juicy homemade beef burgers made with simple ingredients—healthy, flavorful, and perfect for grilling or quick stovetop cooking.

Ingredients

for the patties

  • 500g ground beef,  with 20% fat
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped finely
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dried herbs or your choice
  • chopped parsley (optional)

for the burgers

  • 3 slices cheese (your choice, I use mature cheddar)
  • lettuce leaves, torn (I love the curly rocket type or iceberg lettuce)
  • 1  tomato, sliced
  • Choice of condiments (my kids are happy with ketchup and mustard

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix all patty ingredients and seasoning.
  • Divide the beef mixture into four equal parts then shape them into patties.
