Ground Beef with Oyster Sauce

Ground beef with oyster sauce must be an inherited recipe from the original beef slices with oyster sauce. That is what cooking is for, right?

As with many recipes from the Far East, this one is takes less than an hour to cook.  You would also love the fact that this can be eaten as it is, so it is a complete meal by itself, or can be serve over steamed rice or any fried rice.

If you had tried MMK’s other recipe for ground beef with Arabian spices, this, for me is it’s counterpart from the middle east side of the world. They are almost the same, separated by the use of oyster sauce here and baharat (mixed spice) in the other.

How to cook ground beef with oyster sauce

I used frozen veggies when I want to cook this quickie way, since I almost always have frozen vegetables in the refrigerator. But as hubby prefers fresh veggies, and when I have the time (which I can make when cooking is concerned), I dice carrots, cut green beans, add mushrooms and corn.  I sometimes opt for sweet potatoes and zucchini as well. I cook this over medium heat and serve heat for a few minutes, and presto!

Again, the highlight — oyster sauce and limped shredded cabbage. You’ll never go wrong with this one.
